Wispr Flow is the best-known name in AI dictation, and it's a good product. This page is for the things it doesn't do: Linux, locking your words to the right window, letting your coding agents reach you, and EU data residency.

There is no Wispr Flow for Linux, and none announced. Prodius runs natively on Linux today — the founder's daily driver is a bare-metal Debian machine. On X11, everything works: dictation, AI cleanup, window-lock targeting, agent popups. Wayland is in progress — we publish a per-feature support matrix rather than rounding up, so check it before installing on a Wayland session.
If you live in a terminal, that matters twice: your coding agents run where your dictation tool needs to be.
Wispr Flow is one-directional: you speak, text appears. Prodius closes the loop. Its MCP bridge lets Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP-capable agent reach you when it's actually blocked — a permission, a destructive action, a decision it can't make alone. The question appears as a popup over whatever you're doing; you answer by voice or a click, and the answer routes back into the right session. You decide when agents may interrupt, in plain-English project instructions.
If you never run agents, this won't matter to you — and Wispr is a fine choice. If you do, it's the difference between babysitting terminals and being findable.
